Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers have contributed enormously to support EFD’s long-term goal aimed at improving the access to and quality of education for disadvantaged children and youth.

1. Office based part time Volunteers that work at the EFD office for a minimum of four hours a week.
2. On-line volunteers that work from home and assist EFD in the areas of translation, website maintenance, newsletter designs etc.
3. Specialist volunteers with specific skills to assist EFD for a period of time.

EFD also accepts volunteers participating in student intern projects, corporate volunteer programs, and other volunteer referral programs. In each of these cases, however, a special agreement must be in effect with the organization from where the volunteers originate and must identify responsibility for management and care of the volunteers.

Our need for volunteer's changes from time to time depending what is happening at EFD, so we welcome volunteer applications throughout the year.

We ask all potential volunteers to think seriously about their interest in volunteering at EFD and that you be able to offer us a regular commitment whether it be a few hours a week or for a certain period of time. EFD provides a very supportive environment for volunteers to work together as part of a team and for volunteers to learn and grow from their experiences with us.
